Is It Just Me....

It's not that I think that I can do everything, but I want to do everything. That little piece of me says, "You don't need any help, you can do it, quit being a baby." The other half of me crys out for the much needed help! It has been written that being a mom is the hardest job there is, but where does it say that we have to do it all ourselves?

I love the thought of seeing my house clean and the children playing on the floor, because it is clean. The pictures are all where they should be strategically placed on the walls, we have the knick knacks placed just right so they compliment the other items on the shelf. The cats roam around the house, but nobody every knows that we have cats because the cat hair is never visible. My vacuum cleaner picks up every last bit of dirt, dust, and hair, so I never have to worry! The dishes are all placed just so in the cupboard and the cups come out of the dishwasher so sparkley and clean. The smell of a clean dry load of laundry is inviting for a nap on the couch, but there is still more to do. The bathroom always has a shirt on the floor, which is easily picked up and thrown in the basket. Clorox wipes rest on the shelf under the sink and a quick run through the sink and toilet and it smells like it has never been used. The windows are always open and inviting a cool breeze in, which never brings dust with it cause I have found the perfect dusting product. One wipe and it disappears for months!! Beds were made as we all stepped out of bed. A toy here and a toy there is all there is to pick up and place in the toy box. Isn't it great it's that simple to see everything just the way it should be.

Then reality sets in. Kids are not on the floor cause it has not been washed in, well we won't go there, I think the dog ate the mop. Everytime the backdoor slams all the pictures loose there place on the wall, no matter how many times I straighten them. As for knick knacks, who has time to actually come up with the time to compliment the other stuff. Cats, yup they are in the house and I think I could crochet a blanket with the fur they leave. Vaccuum cleaner, yeah when you find one that actually picks everything up, please post. Not sure about you but my dishwasher has serious issues. I wash everything before I put it in and then I re-wash once it runs through, hard water! The laundry always smells good, but usually never makes it out of the dryer until it is worn. Clothes are naturally attracted to the bathroom floor, the chances of anyone hitting the laundry basket are slim to none. Clorox wipes were great when they first came out, but I can never remember to buy them at the store. Of course the windows are open, we do not have air conditioning and we need the air! Dust, you bet, carried in with shovels and still all over everything. Dusting is a thing of the past. I guessing that the beds were made once, a long long time ago. Our living room doubles as a toy room, toys just look natural there.

I love my life, I love my family and my pets. Where does the time go? You move in to your home and it's great, children come along and the time begins to slip. I look at the things I used to accomplish on a day to day basis. Maybe it is age, maybe it is stress, maybe it is lack of help, not sure. The chances of me asking for help are slim, because remember I am women hear me roar, I do not need help.

Guess what I need help!!
